The Cherokee Fire Pit

Materials:

Cherokee Brick Pavers (enough to create your desired fire pit surround size)

Bag of sand

Landscape fabric

Shovel

Tamper

Edging stones (optional)

Steps:

Choose Your Location: Select a level spot in your backyard, ensuring it's a safe distance from any flammable structures or trees. Check local regulations regarding fire pit placement and size limitations.

Excavate the Area: Mark out the desired size and shape of your fire pit surround. Dig a shallow trench around 4-6 inches deep within the marked area.

Lay the Foundation: Line the bottom of the trench with landscape fabric to help suppress weeds. Fill the trench with sand and tamp it down to create a firm, level base.

Building the Surround: Starting from the outside edge, lay your Cherokee Brick pavers in a circular pattern on the sand base. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the pavers into place, ensuring a level surface.

Securing the Edge (Optional): For a more finished look, you can add edging stones around the outer perimeter of the brick paver surround. Simply dig a small trench to accommodate the edging stones and tap them into place using a rubber mallet.

Fire Pit Installation: Place your chosen fire pit within the brick paver surround, ensuring proper ventilation and following all safety instructions from the fire pit manufacturer.

Enjoy Your DIY Creations!

With a little effort and Cherokee Brick's high-quality products, you can create beautiful and functional additions to your home this weekend. A firepit is just a starting point – the possibilities for DIY brick projects are endless!
